Tourism in Mexico is booming - at least in the popular coastal regions, just on the Yucatan Peninsula on the Caribbean Sea the number of reservations continues to grow - and thus the number of new resorts.

Currently in Mexico more than 70 new luxury hotels are being built. This indicates TOPHOTELPROJECTS, the specialized service provider in the exchange of cutting-edge information between clients and contractors in the international hotel industry.

More and more tour operators offer the destinations on Yucatan. Caused by the increasing number of long-haul flights, the hotels are quickly fully booked. Especially the underwater world is a tourist magnet. The reef, which runs south off the coast of Yucatan is the second largest in the world, after the Great Barrier Reef in Australia,. The underwater world here is considered as particularly rich in species.

Another attraction is the fun park Xcaret Cancun. The Xcaret Park is a kind of natural Disneyland with beach, equestrian show, diving, restaurants and all kinds of animals that you can view here in large enclosures. The park also takes care of breeding endangered birds in the region.

The variety of hotels for travellers in this region is huge. There are all kinds of facilities available – from the Eco-Resort Sandos Caracol with mangrove and rainforest on the site to luxury beach resorts such as the Grand Palladium Riviera Resort & Spa, whose dimensions correspond to those of a village.

Despite problems with drug-related crime and air pollution in the big cities, the American country remains a worthwhile destination. Luxury hotels like Capella can achieve one of the highest daily rates with more than 800 US dollars.
